RA-LIN completed a concrete masonry unit installation at the Trion High School Gymnasium under a Construction Management at Risk (CM@Risk) contract with the Trion City Schools. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems were installed as well as interior metal framing. Exterior work included installing brick veneer and an exterior insulation finishing system (EIFS).
The new sports facility includes a competition gym, an auxiliary gym, locker rooms, office space, restrooms, and concession space. There is also an elevated walkway inside the new gym.
Heavy rainfall slowed progress from the start of the project, and continued to be an issue until the finish of the project. Trion City Schools decided on a design change to the exterior facade of the building and RA-LIN and Southern A&E have worked closely with the board to incorporate these changes with minimum impact on the final completion date. Construction of this facility took approximately 14 months.
