This athletic complex consists of baseball and softball fields and tennis courts with spectator seating for all sports. There is also a two-story concession stand and score keeper building that is configured for use by the softball and baseball fields. The facility was built primarily for Douglas County High School but is located off campus and therefore used for various other programs.
Scheduled for fast track completion under the guaranteed price of a Construction Management at Risk (CM@ Risk) contract, construction speed was hampered by 57-inches of untimely rainfall in a 500 year flood. RA-LIN built bio swales to assist in the drainage of the complex and had to stabilize the sub grade material underneath the parking lots of the complex with soil cement due to rain and soil conditions. The fields were ready for use on-time at the opening of the school year, weather delays notwithstanding.
