The Model High School contract was for a complete replacement high school built on an existing campus with over 170,000 SF of new construction and 20,000 SF of renovation. The huge project required only fourteen months to complete from start to finish. Model’s new classrooms and administration buildings are two story brick facade that can accommodate approximately 700 students and 60 plus faculty and staff. The school’ cafeteria can seat 530 at any one time, and the performing arts center provides seating for 650.

RA-LIN provided service under a Construction Management at Risk (CM@Risk) contract that guarantees a maximum price for the project. The contract included pre-construction services, preliminary budgeting, value engineering, construction management and self-performance of masonry and carpentry. Approximately 30% of the subcontracting work was from local area suppliers. At the finish, RA-LIN was able to recycle 80% of the construction debris which was diverted from landfill disposal.
