This two-story educational complex consists of classrooms for Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grades. Included in the structure are two gymnasiums, one for the elementary school and one for the middle school; a media center; a kitchen and cafeteria; a vocational wing housing an agriculture lab and music area; and an administration area.
The structure consists of a load bearing masonry design with some structural steel. The two gymnasiums are pre-engineered buildings with metal roof panels. The facade is brick with aluminum windows, aluminum storefront and curtain wall windows. The roof structure for the remaining wings consists of lightweight concrete deck, insulation and a TPO roof.
Prior to breaking ground for the project, RA-LIN provided pre-construction and value engineering services due to budget constraints. As a result, RA-LIN successfully reduced the overall cost of the project within the allotted budget. During the construction phase of the project, RA-LIN and Associates self-performed the following scopes of work: concrete, site concrete and rough carpentry.
