This challenging project is a complete replacement high school to be built on an occupied campus site between an existing football field and only twenty feet from the current high school building. Approximately 850 students attend the school daily along with faculty and staff so safety will be a primary concern as will logistics for staging and material delivery.
In addition to classrooms, plans call for a gymnasium, a media center; a kitchen and cafeteria; vocational technology labs for metal working and welding; and an administration area.
RA-LIN will phase the construction process by completing the new school building first, then demolishing the existing structure and preparing driveways, loading areas and parking. In addition a small 3,000 SF building will be added to the newly constructed school to house the band practice hall. This project will be delivered under a Construction Manager at Risk contract with RA-LIN providing a Guaranteed Maximum Price for the project.
