We take great pride in working hard to build some of the finest buildings across the Southeast, but that’s not all we do. Beyond construction, we find ways to nurture interests, talents, and friendships through activities that extend outside the workplace.

We are continually seeking to improve the company experience through ways such as social events, community service projects, and group outings. Through these events we improve ourselves both personally and professionally, strengthen our company bond, give back to our communities, and most importantly have fun.

Whether your preference is preparing and serving meals at the local soup kitchen, whitewater rafting, or participating in a community-wide drug awareness rally, you’ll find others that share your interests at RA-LIN.

In addition, RA-LIN sponsors countless organizations and events that bring together employees in a number of ways. Training seminars, company meetings, awards and recognition events, and outings like golf tournaments, fishing trips, and picnics are held throughout the years. We grow through these activities by sharing ideas, making new friends, and learning from others’ experiences. This deepens personal and professional unity throughout RA-LIN.

It is our goal not only to empower students to learn more about the industry and grow, but to expose them to the RA-LIN culture and, hopefully, develop future RA-LIN employees. Many of RA-LIN’s interns have been offered positions upon graduation. Only applicants in good academic standing will be considered.

“I think my expectation of an internship was that it was going to be more of a shadowing. I’m glad my internship was a lot more field experience and how to do it with your own two hands. It’s taught me a lot. I would come back anytime RA-LIN would have me.”
– Lance Smith, RA-LIN Intern

RA-LIN U: Learning is a Lifelong Process

Learning requires that we keep abreast of change. Individually, we have experience and skills developed over time or we may be recent graduates new to the industry. RA-LIN management’s task is to help teach people how to improve and grow in knowledge and skill so that our clients get innovative, quality work at every level. We call the process RA-LIN U.

There is a RA-LIN way to approach every job in our company. The RA-LIN way is not so much a process or system as it is a point-of-view. We want our people to be dedicated to making the customer experience the best it can be. This means being honest with the owner, identifying problems and quickly communicating some alternative ways of dealing with the problem. Respecting the owner’s right to participate in the decisions affecting the building is a requirement here. We want new RA-LIN employees to embrace our corporate desire to do everything possible to complete projects on time, keep owners informed and enhance the owners’ experience of dealing with RA-LIN. If our new employees accomplish this, they are oriented to the way we work.

Promotion from Within

Many of our employees started in the field or in an administrative capacity and learned our business by observing how others in our company conduct their business. We have schedulers who are now safety personnel, estimators who have become project management professionals and summer part-time workers who have become executives. In addition to the structured seminars RA-LIN U is conducted every day inside our offices and on our project sites. We respect the desire of people to enhance their contribution to our company and we work hard to share what we have learned in forty years of business.
